There are many swimming activities at Manor for children and adults, of all ages. These include swimming lessons, "Mini Monsters," adult early morning swim, water aerobics in the late afternoon, a Friday night swim, as well as fun Fourth of July activities. Manor has three pools; one is a full-sized pool equipped with diving boards for the dive team; there is a lower lap pool for adults, and a small baby pool in between the two larger pools. Both children and adults enjoy the two pools throughout the summer, as well as a convenient snack bar that serves food and drinks. The Manor Swimming and Diving teams have been very successful in competing in the CCSDA Championships, the Manor Invitational Meet, relay meets, and so forth. The club also sponsors activities such as Saturday morning treat days, "Crazy Hat Day," and the "Great Fish Attack." The diving team holds many dive meets, exhibitions, synchro meets and championships right at Manor in competition with other country clubs. They placed in 3rd place finish this past year. The swimming and diving season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. At the end of the season there is a buffet party to include the grand finale, the Swim and Dive Banquet for all participants. |
